My Internet and phone line got cut off out of no where starting Sunday and I didn't get it back/fixed until today. But that's besides the point right now. The point of me mentioning this is to thank the guy who was on the other end of the line that day who was so incredibly patient and polite with me while trying to coach me on checking my router and modem. I say incredibly patient because my iPhone has been acting up recently (I suspect it's due to the multiple meetings my phone has had with the ground over the years. So much so that the bottom back shell of my phone is literally broken) so whenever anyone calls in or if I call out, the line would always break up causing me to miss out on what the other person is saying. Getting back to the point of this, our conversation went a lot like this:
TMnet Guy: Okay, you see the ...... light? Is it ...... colour?
Me: Sorry, what did you say?
TMnet Guy: Okay Miss, *starts to repeat again slowly*
-Few seconds later-
TMnet Guy: Okay Miss, do you see the .........?Never once did he sound exasperated and/or annoyed with me! Everyone knows if it were me, I'd have referred the call to a colleague or something. I know it's probably part of their job description to be polite and whatnot, so whatever kind of training these guys/girls are getting over there, keep up the good work!
Me: Sorry, what??
TMnet Guy: Do-you-see-the-blablablabla...
Too bad I can't say the same about the response/technician team - they were two days slow.
And now I come to the subject of the title of this post. I've never been one to follow any Top Bloggers until recently cause Isabel and Yee Wen kept talking about them. I mean, it's not like I've never heard of them before, it's just that I've never bothered enough to read their blogs. So I just started reading XiaXue's blog and as open as she is, her blog posts are actually quite entertaining at times. Best post I've read so far has to be her latest post, "The Faces of Haters", where she literally shows you the faces of her haters. Lol!
So here's the gist of the story straight from the blogger's hands:
I've blogged for 10 years and I've covered the most controversial topics. But NOTHING, and I meanNOTHING, have gotten me as more hate as me supporting the PAP.She then went on to screenshot and facebook-stalk her haters and called them out on her blog.
I also got some love for it of course, but usually mean comments die down after a few weeks... This lasted for a whole year, got me several hate sites and hate parody accounts. People wish death upon me and my family, threatening to hurt me if they ever see me. Wow... Even I am amazed by my resilience and courage lol.
Even so, I was still kinda surprised to see that Temasek Review, an extremist online publication biased towards the opposition, posted up 3 photos of Qiuqiu, Sophie and me taken during last year's rally on their facebook page, inviting their fans to write (mean) captions on us.
I laughed so hard at the things she posted and commented, it's a good thing my Dad is in the office, leaving me the freedom of laughing my head off without having to be asked to be quiet. I mean, seriously, the girl has some serious guts to do what she did! I have mad respect for her right now! Hahahahah!
She added her own comments to their comments, as you can see on the right in pink :)
I'm sorry, but the Ben Tan one was the funniest to me. Um, #burn much? Hahah!
And the Mr Too Ugly For A Profile Pic. LOL!
Remember I said she Facebook-stalked them? I wasn't kidding. She full-on stalked and saved the pictures of some of the haters. Oh gosh, I can't even....just go read it for yourself, it really is quite a good laugh.
